Group & Team Development:
Any group of people working together to achieve something will have different needs and expectations. Threading these together in a coherent and aligned way is no easy feat.
Traditionally strong leaders have used a combination of control, coercion and cajoling to move the group towards its goals. This is no longer the way most groups work, people need to want to move in cohesion, by having a clear purpose and vision and a culture that helps them feel part of the group with a stake in its success. Discretionary effort is the critical component, how do you ensure people want to do more than the minimum required?
We believe that having the right level of conflict is critical to developing a group of people working together into a team. You need to involve people and with more involvement comes more conflict, its vital to ensure this conflict is positive and is not damaging.
